Q: Do you require a deposit to reserve my party date?
A: Yes, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required at confirmation. Deposits may be paid by personal check, cash, or Venmo. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards.
Q: When is the balance due?
A: Payment in full is required either on the day your party is delivered to you, or picked up. Balances may be paid by personal check, cash, or Venmo.
Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?
A: Deposits are non-refundable. We would appreciate you providing us with 10-14 days notice if you need to cancel your party.
Q: Is delivery free?
A: We will work with you to arrange a mutually convenient time for pick up or delivery. Free delivery is available in North Reading and surrounding towns within 8 miles of 325 Main Street in North Reading. A delivery fee will apply to delivery outside this radius.
Q: My child, or a party guest has severe allergies. If I use my own decorative candy from home, would there be a reduced cost for the party?
A: Although it is your option to use candy from home, we do not offer reduced party pricing.
Q: Is there a minimum number of kits I need to order?
A: SweetHouse Parties "To GO" is a flexible party option. There is no minimum or maximum number of kits you can order.
Q: Do you require a final kit count, and if so, when?
A: Yes, it is very important for you to provide us with a final guest count 7 days prior to the event. If you have requested the personalized chocolate initial favors, we will require guest names at this time as well.
Q: What if I give you a final headcount, and a guest does not show up for the party?
A: Unfortunately, if a guest does not show up for your party, you will still be responsible for full payment of your selected package. The good news is that the chocolate keeps well in room temperature, and you can save the kit for a rainy day!
Q: What is the difference between the *Select Candy Package and the **Premium Candy Package?
A: Both candy packages include decorative penny candy to create beautiful chocolate houses. The **Premium Candy Package offers foiled candy such as Kisses, Rolos, Twix, foiled flowers, wrapped candy, dipped pretzels, dipped marshmallows, chocolate figures (i.e. animals, cars, sports balls, etc.) and more.
